Top loaders: mix 1 tablespoon of Washing Powder with 1 tablespoon (or less) of Castile Cleaning Soap for every 7kg load. Warm wash.

How to get the best from your washing powder
Warm water works best. For everyday washing, use warm water (30 to 40°C). This temperature helps natural ingredients dissolve properly and gives your powder a head start, especially when cleaning things like sweaty clothing, kitchen cloths, or oily fabrics.
Tough jobs? Give it time and heat. If you're tackling extra dirty laundry, like workwear, farm clothes, or heavily soiled tea towels, choose a longer cycle or turn the temperature up a bit. The warmth helps lift grime more easily and ensures a thorough clean without needing synthetic boosters.
Small scoop, big clean. This powder is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Use only 1 tablespoon of Washing Powder with 1 tablespoon (or less) of Castile Cleaning Soap per regular load. There's no need to overdo it, too much can cause residue, especially in cold water or soft water areas.
Extra tip for cooler washes. If you're using a cold wash, dissolve your powder in a mug of hot water first, then add it to the machine. This helps avoid undissolved powder and ensures it gets to work straight away.

Regular upkeep is essential for the best performance of your washing machine, and to guarantee that your laundry comes out spotless every time. Consider the following practical advice:
1. Maintain your filters. Consistently inspecting and cleaning the filters in your washing machine is crucial for its efficiency. For top loading machines, don't forget to take out the agitator and clean underneath with Natural Cleaning Paste at least every six months or as needed. For front loaders, you can find guidance on cleaning your washing machine filters from Consumer NZ.
2. Washing machine deep clean. After cleaning filters with your Natural Cleaning Paste or Natural Cleaning Spray, and removing the agitator to clean if applicable, run a long, hot empty cycle with:
½ cup Citric Acid for top loaders
¼ cup Citric Acid for front loaders
This will help dissolve mineral buildup and leave your machine fresh.
