Spring Cleaning Checklist

Choose one room to tackle each week

WHOLE HOME

  • Open windows – let the fresh air in

  • Dust from top to bottom with Natural Cleaning Spray (ceilings, light fittings, shelves, skirting boards)

  • Wipe down walls with Natural Cleaning Spray and a wet cloth

  • Clean windows (inside & out) with Natural Window Cleaner

  • Wash curtains or air them outside

  • Clean blinds with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Vacuum under and behind furniture

  • Mop floors with Castile Cleaning Soap

  • Polish wooden furniture with a natural oil blend (e.g. olive oil + lemon)

  • Wash reusable cleaning cloths and replace any worn-out ones

KITCHEN

  • Empty pantry, wipe shelves with Natural Cleaning Spray or Natural Cleaning Paste

  • Compost/ditch expired food

  • Clean fridge & freezer (remove trays, wash in warm soapy water with Castile Cleaning Soap)

  • Degrease oven with Natural Cleaning Paste

  • Scrub stovetop & splash back with Natural Cleaning Paste

  • Wipe down rangehood with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Clean rangehood filters in a sink of hot water and Castile Cleaning Soap

  • Run empty dishwasher on the hottest, longest cycle with 3 TBSP Citric Acid and 3 TBSP Washing Soda Ash

  • Wipe down inside and outside cupboards and handles with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Clean sink with Baking Soda + Cleaning Grade Vinegar 9.9%

  • Clean microwave with Vinegar and water. Read here.

BATHROOM

  • Scrub shower tiles & grout with Natural Cleaning Paste

  • Wash shower curtain or clean glass with vinegar solution

  • Wipe mirrors with Natural Window Cleaner

  • Clean toilet naturally with baking soda + vinegar

  • Wipe all surfaces including around the toilet, walls, skirting boards with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Check fans or vents for dust and cleaning with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Polish taps and fixtures until they shine

BEDROOMS

  • Rotate or flip mattresses

  • Freshen mattresses with a sprinkle of baking soda (vacuum after 30 mins)

  • Move bed and clean behind headboards with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Move bed and vacuum underneath

  • Soak and wash all bedding (pillows, duvets, mattress protectors) with our Stain Remover and Washing Powder

  • Line dry duvets on the washing line

  • Air out pillows on the washing line, if stained, spray with Natural Window Cleaner

  • Dust and wipe bedside tables & lamps with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Declutter wardrobes — donate what you no longer wear

LAUNDRY

  • Wipe down washing machine with Natural Cleaning Spray and run a long, hot, empty wash with 6 TBSP Citric Acid and 6 TBSP Washing Soda Ash for top loaders

  • Clean lint filter in dryer and wipe all surfaces with Natural Cleaning Spray

  • Clean laundry sink with Natural Cleaning Paste

  • Organise laundry supplies (make washing powder and refill Laundry product jars)

OUTDOORS
